This is not a official translation but custom made by the AionTrans Translation Team.
You can find the latest news and downloads of this translation at http://aiontrans.dumbie.net

Hope it works well for everyone, If not just let me know so I can try to fix it :)

- Installation Guide
* Uninstall any other custom made language packs before installing this language pack.
1. Extract the translation files into your Chinese Aion directory and overwrite the existing files.
2. Launch the game with the official launcher and have fun playing Aion Online.

- Uninstalling custom language packs
1. If the language pack was made for v1.0/v1.1 goto the L10N directory.
2. Now delete the CHS.pak/ENU.pak file and CHS/ENU directory.
3. Make sure that versionInfo_AION.ini located in the root directory is NOT set to 'Read Only'
4. Start the launcher and click on the check files button located under the launch game button.
5. If you have done this you can go back to the Installation guide.

- Disabling the profanity filter
1. Open your Aion directory and goto 'L10N/CHS/Data/Strings'
2. Open AionFilterChat.txt and banned.txt with notepad.
3. Clear the files and save them.

Really really good job Dumbie! I was quite amazed how good was the translations for Chinese Aion! Well, at least until what I could see ehehe which is my lvl 8 warrior...

Quick question, I installed this patch and everything works fine. However all the chinese characters are all weird now, it seems like all of them are compressed, is that intended or is there a way to fix that??

It's probably related to the English fonts.

ok, I fixed it replaced Vera with Verdana and it looks normal now.

Thanks a lot!! One more question what exactly are the video/audio addons?

The soundpack adds English NPC Speech and system messages like 'You are to far away from the target'

And the video pack adds a video when you start the game and create a character.

Yeah, you are right, the translation 1.2 works 100 % with the 1.5 Aion china, all is in english...now i have another question to you.....i want to play aion EU from china..my german friend made an account for me, i have timecard etc etc..when i want to connect to the eu server in germany from china, the eu server tells me that my IP is not allowed...so this means, chinese are blocked..i contacted ncsoft europe and told them that i am a german living in china and if they could let me in..they said...no way...so my question to you..is there a way to connect ? i need a german ip or some faker...i tried some software but i can't connect...but i know that there are chinese playing on the german servers..do you have any idea how to bypass this fucken ip block ???? thanks bro..greets..greg

a while back for a chinese beta but they also have a german proxy server.
so you can try this I suppose it should work.

Don't know exactly how it worked but by messing around with it im sure you will find it out

Hi ! Last days i got a message from ncsoft again....they told me again that chinese ip are blocked on EU servers, but they said maybe i can use a proxy...so i thought...WTF.... I searched the net for some free proxy servers but no good at all...then i found this one here.... www.gamepath.net ... they have all you need there, a howto to connect to their servers; you can download the needed software ( 2 small programs called Proxifier and putty.exe)......it is affordable..they charge 17 US $ for 3 months...also you can connect to their server for testing..it is free but you will get disconnected after one hour of server runtime..after that you can reconnect and all is good.....anyway...the username is:gamepathtest pass is: imjusttesting maybe there are others who can make good use of this..they have special server location in netherlands, france and GB ....they support WOW and Aion ...also another game, i forgot the name... i will make an account there..so all my problems are gone, the ping is very very nice, game runs without any lags, and that even i'm at the ass of the world in china ( LOL, 500 km from mongolian border ... north china ) , so they servers kick ass ..greets...greg
